1100 F

a little testing project the other day at the J O B.

It did at one time run

and it will again, this past weekend's warm weather has reminded me to get back to it. tomorrow will lay out the drivetrain back into the frame and work on alignment. the fender issue will have to be put to bed as well as a threaded insert for the two-up seat.

by not managing my distractions very well i diverted my attention the other day to refitting an engine change cart into a mig cart. i haven't finished it yet but the welder does sit nicely on the car and the bottle is held onto the back. i'll add some cord wraps etc to it at some point along with some paint. now back to the bike.

Fender Obsession

i am obsessed about how to mount my fender on the rear, i have it done and I don't like what i have done. i'm not convinced it will be stable enough with three mounting points for the two-up seat. i'm wallowing in indecision...

gas tank mounts are done and after obsessing over them i reinforced the rear tab. if this fails there's been a big accident. not only did i gusset the flat tab - i welded both sides fully.

I should be working

on my chopper but it's just too cold in the garage for this weather sissy. I still somehow want to have this thing running by mid-May.

It's Been a While

since my last entry - my dog passed away right before Christmas. That's been heartbreaking to say the very least, I brought Maggie home when she was merely 4 months old.

She was the best friend to me I could have ever asked for, I'm thankful to have shared so much time with her. A girl after my own heart she even had her own car, Betty the Bronco.

I miss her everyday.

With Mag's passing and the weather being uncharacteristically cold and snowy this year my motivation to do much productive outside of work has been almost zero. Not much has happened with the chopper now entering it's 3rd year of the re-wiring project... The shovel is still together (and leaking oil all over the place) and will stay that way. Springtime is just around the corner and for once in 3 years I'll actually have a bike to ride. Next up is my mig welder cart - I'm reviving and old engine change trolley from my days at All American Racers to hold my mig welder, bottle, and various tools. Maybe a pic or 2 soon.
